Right now I only see Save and Close if I scroll in the outerframe of a request record, or scroll all the way to the bottom of the record itself in the inner frame. It should be visible all the time.
This feedback has been built into the newly-designed record page layout in a recent update. The page now also adapts better to your screen size and shape, to zooming in and out in your browser, and to long forms and section lists. The Save and Close buttons are always visible, and the rest of the page all uses one scrollbar for easier scrolling. Let us know what you think, and thank you again for your feedback!
Thank you Blackbaud team for the time spent implementing this change. However, one unanticipated consequence for my organization is that users now have to scroll to the bottom of the page to access Related Document, Affiliation, and Activity records - which we need to do more often than saving the record.
The workaround appears to be reducing the Zoom of the browser (from 100-80%) OR toggling the "Detail" ribbon off. I'm curious if other users are experiencing this new issue, or if my organization will need to reduce the record sections to reduce the size of the "Detail" list.
This is great, thank you.
I agree - Save and Close / Save / Cancel should be visible all the time regardless of what device/browser you are using. I can see these buttons on Org and Contact records without scrolling, but not on a Request, Requirement, Activity or Payment.
'Save and Close / Save / Cancel' is fixed at the bottom of the page for Organisations. It can be done and it's basic functionality. It should be in the View on every page for quick navigation. Please roll it out to Request, Payment, Contact, Requirement etc.
I was told by support that I need to work in full screen mode, but as someone who is constantly multi-tasking I should not need to be in full screen mode for basic functionality.
