I'd be happy for the previous document to remain in my database, but perhaps the keyword field could be updated to say "Replaced on [date]" so it was clear this is not the final version. We do this manually at the moment, and it is easy to forget to do it.
Yes Yes Yes!! We spend so much time explaining, replacing, unsharing old versions of documents because of this - it would also be helpful if, when resubmitting an application, the required uploads are no longer required, because that then forces people to upload replacements when they don't actually need to be replaced.
