Current functionality: You cannot include conditional <If.....Then...> merge fields in e-mail fields

Desired Funcitonality: As was previously do-able in GIFTS Classic, client would like to build conditional statements with merge fields in e-mail fields in GO

Client reason: This client had built complex e-mail subjects saving much extra work and template creation by writing up, as an example, email subjects conditional to codes. If code a- send e-mail with subject a; if code b, send e-mail with subject b. So on and so on. Currently the client needs to set up 13 e-mail templates where she previously made one template with a compound conditional subject accounting for 13 different scenarios.
