The Application ID is the number applying organizations received after saving or submitting an application and they number they tell us when asking questions. We need to be able to find the specific application in question and see what they see. This number can be searched in GIFTS but we've been told cannot be searched in GIFTS Online.
We are currently considering this as part of a concept we are calling the "Applications Inbox", a new-and-improved screen for processing incoming applications. While this feature is only being considered right now and is not finalized, these are some of the things we are currently exploring:
This functionality is now available with latest updates to the Applicant and Grantee Portal. https://community.blackbaud.com/blogs/108/9692
Put it back in the Query Builder.
It used to be in the Query builder back in GIFTS and ALTA, but was removed in GO. (see ALTA screen shot)
The applicant is given an Application ID number - this is the only number automatically assigned to them to refer to their in- progress application. If you use the default "saved" language, it nd they ask about their request using that ID,. This should be an easily accessible field.
It is frustrating that an applicant gets an application number that cannot easily be searched or retrieved. This number must be searchable and connect to a request/application. Without this it is virtually useless. Please update!
Bonus if you can recover a deleted application.
