Currently a Contact record flagged as "Inactive" is offered as an option when checking duplicates for an IGAM application, and in fact in my situation is offered as the "first", "default" option, which in turn leads me to believe the correct Contact has been found, when it has not been, because it is Inactive. This is not logical.
This idea makes sense. We will look into it.
For everyone who Votes for this idea, one quick question that will help us -
How are you using the "Inactive" flag on contacts today? In other words, when do you set a contact as "Inactive"?
When an "Inactive" contact matches to a contact on an application, is that an error (they are two different people with similar names), or is it more often a correct match that you would prefer to disregard anyway (because the contact is inactive).
I won't be able to respond to each comment/question individually, but this feedback will all be reviewed as we consider future solutions to this problem. Thank you for your feedback!
A contact flagged as inactive should not be allowed to create a new request at all....
