Currently, the review status has two states: In Progress and Submitted. In order to track review progress across multiple review meetings we rely on this review status. However, reviewers have not always 'submitted' their reviews although they are complete. This complicates our ability to track progress.
We would like the ability for GO users to be able to overwrite the review status in some way. So that we can mark a review submitted from GO, similar to how we decline a request.
As an example of how this would be useful, a reviewer completes their review comments but never hits submit. Another example: a reviewer has trouble accessing the reviewer portal and since they were only assigned one review and likely not going to review in the near future, we took their comments in word format and manually added them to the review record. In this second case the review will never be marked as submitted as well.
Definitely upvoted! Our reviewers often review offline and fill out our old spreadsheet. They email that to me later and avoid the portal. I then enter the review into BBGM for them. I really need to be able to mark these reviews in some way to they are complete. Submitted by Proxy would be useful to track the activity as well.
Upvoted! Totally agree that this would be super helpful for when reviewers have trouble with the review portal. Being able to collect via Word and then enter/submit on the backend would be wonderful.
As an interim solution to the first scenario you mention, we put instructions on our review forms to help our reviewers avoid the mistake of clicking Save when they mean to Submit (see attached screenshot). So far it has helped tremendously. We just put that language on all of the review forms.
