Associate more than one organization with a request

This would make reporting and evaluation much easier for grant programs that have an explicit goal of, say, many community partners.

Ah, I didn’t realize you had gotten this. I got a bounced email message when I sent it.

    Hi Vin,

To answer your questions, after talking to the grant administartors:

    1. For grants with many community partners - would you expect a single person to fill out a grant application online, or would you receive several applications from different organizations and associate them all with one grant?
I would expect a single person to fill out the grant

    1. If one person or organization submits the application - would you expect them to describe who the other partner organizations are, or is that information that you would expect you or your staff to add to the grant over time?
Actually, I would expect the grant applicant to enter all the partner organizations and basic info. It should recognize the organization if we already have them in the database, otherwise they would be newly entered, a lot like a contact.

    1. When generating emails to grantees, would you expect to send emails to contacts at all of the associated organizations of a grant, or only to contacts at a specific 'main organization'?
We would not be likely do generate emails to all the associated organizations, just the contacts of the main organizations.

Thank you for submitting this idea. I'd like to encourage anyone else who would benefit from this idea to Vote for it, which helps us prioritize the most popular and most helpful ideas against our backlog.

This is something we have given some thought to. We're not ready to implement it yet but I believe we will have a solution in the future. In the meantime, can you help us get there by providing some more information? A few questions came to mind when I read your idea:

    1. For grants with many community partners - would you expect a single person to fill out a grant application online, or would you receive several applications from different organizations and associate them all with one grant?
    2. If one person or organization submits the application - would you expect them to describe who the other partner organizations are, or is that information that you would expect you or your staff to add to the grant over time?
    3. When generating emails to grantees, would you expect to send emails to contacts at all of the associated organizations of a grant, or only to contacts at a specific 'main organization'?

    Thank you for your help!
