More recent versions of GIFTS Classic allowed users to customize their own version of a Schedule of Appropriations and Payments Report (990 report) by having fields like "Beginning Balance", "Ending Balance", "Amendments", "Newly Allocated", etc. available to use for reports. This allowed us to include information like our Docket Number (which we use as a unique identifier for our grants both in GIFTS and in our finance system), making our finance tracking and reconciliation much simpler. We lost this functionality when we transitioned to GIFTS Online this week, which will make 990 and audit prep more difficult.
