My understanding is that we have no way of knowing whether emails sent through GO are ever 'bounced back'.  We had an issue recently in which an applicant put a small typo in their email address and we never realized that they failed to get their email until 3 months later.  If we are going to utilize the GO database for this type of correspondence, then it's important that we know if something is undeliverable.
