Want to be able to sort a view by any column just by clicking the column header. Today it's possible to do that for some fields, but not others. In general, you can sort by numeric fields, date fields, and text fields by clicking the column header, but can't sort by code fields, fields from related records (like Organization name in a Request list), or combined fields (like "Disposition / Disposition Date") this way.
Also, in classic view, every field that allowed sorting always displayed up and down arrows in the column headers - SKY view only displays these for the column that is currently being sorted. So, it's harder to "discover" which columns are clickable - you have to mouse over each of them.
Is there a plan to update this functionality so you can sort by coding items in a view?
Apologies, I spoke too soon! Fortunately, sorting by clicking column headers IS working correctly. However, it only works with some columns (the same limitations exist in Classic View). In general, you can sort by numeric fields, date fields, and text fields by clicking the column header, but can't sort by code fields, fields from related records (like Organization name in a Request list), or combined fields (like "Disposition / Disposition Date") this way.
We'll definitely consider that as feedback for the future, though! I'm going to edit this Idea slightly to reflect that information, and we'll update the other related Idea here soon: GIFTSONL-I-1083
It seems like there is a bug which makes it so that some column headers don't sort when clicked. We'll address that as soon as possible, thank you for reporting it. We are indeed working on the ability to temporarily modify the current view (without editing and saving a Saved View).
