Meeting Minutes field allow more than 255 characters

This is something I had asked about LONG AGO even with Classic. Why does this field have to have a limit? And now in SKY we just get an error that it can't exceed 255 characters. In Classic it just cuts off what doesn't fit so you know where that limit is. This is ridiculous! This could have been changed when SKY was created. PLEASE CHANGE THIS.

    Text fields in Grantmaking (both in classic view and in SKY view) use length limits to make sure that speed and performance are not impacted by having too many unnecessarily long fields. 255 characters is usually long enough, but not always! When you find that a field needs to accommodate a lot of text, we recommend creating a custom field instead, with the type of "Long text." These fields can hold a VERY large amount of text (you could write War and Peace and still have space left over) so they're perfect for this situation.

    To set up a custom field, as an administrator in SKY view, go to Control Panel > Settings > Blueprint > Custom fields and create a new "Long text" custom field. (You can call it "Meeting notes", etc.) Then, go to Control Panel > Settings > Blueprint > Forms library, find the form you usually use for Requests and edit it. You want to add the new custom field (and possible remove the "standard" Meeting Minutes field).

    Because there is a solution built into the product today that is intended to solve this need, I'm going to close this Idea as "already exists". But we will also keep this feedback in mind as we continue to iterate on Blackbaud Grantmaking, and perhaps in the future we will increase the "default" text limit size if we find that problem is becoming more common.
