Why is there a Grantmaking tab, that takes you to the search fields and then the workspace, a Dashboard tab (fine) and then a workspace tab that takes you to the workspace again? The Grantmaking tab seems superfluous and just one more piece of clutter that confuses things, because when you're in the workspace, since Grantmaking is on the far left, the inclination is to click that again, and then you lose where you were.
Thanks for this question and feedback! The word "Grantmaking" appears in the upper left corner primarily to identify what site you are currently on, and to offer a quick way back to the home page - but you're right, that home page is the Dashboards tab, so it is somewhat redundant with the "Dashboard" tab.
For some customers who use multiple Blackbaud products, that "Grantmaking" term becomes a dropdown that enables switching between different capabilities, and helps identify which product is currently open.
We're always considering ways to improve the design of our navigation for all customers, so we appreciate the feedback, and we'll keep it in mind when revising the "product switcher" and top level navigation in the future.
I have been using this feature as a replacement for the 'shut all tabs down' cross that we had in classic, that they didnt implement in sky
