I would like to have the ability to create dashboards for new starters ahead of them joining.
I have created them in the system which would have generated the invite link to their email account, which they wont be able to accept until they physically join us. However, Sky isnt showing them a dashboard when I go to view dashboards.
This is frustrating because previously buzzacott would have created the account for us, and I would have been able to prep some useful dashboard parts ahead of the person joining, which we could then do a training walkthrough with.
I cant seem to do this in sky which is unhelpful with time planning, and not very helpful with inducting new staff. Theres nothing worse than dialing into a blank system you then dont know what to do with, I am now reliant on them accepting the email link before I can do anything for them.
I am so discouraged this idea has been here since 10/1/21 and not received any votes. I know there are very few staff that handle adding new employees, so it is not likely that this will gain enough votes for Blackbaud to address. I have had over 15 cases regarding this for well over a year, and am told the system is functioning properly as it is designed.
Blackbaud used to create our new users prior to employee starting. It is our policy to have new staff set up in all systems prior to them starting. The changes that have been made make this impossible. Our new employees are learning multiple systems and we try really hard not to overwhelm them. As the system is now, BBGM sends an invite email that doesn't show us the content of the email or allow us to personalize it. Then we have to wait for the new hire to start, address the email, click links and set themselves up in a system that the have no idea how to use or how it relates to their work. This is counter-intuitive and frustrating for new staff and System Administrators.
We need the ability to set-up dashboards prior to an employee starting and we should be able to decide, when we send the email to them to gain access to the system.
