Make detail view the default - list view is wonky

Currently, dashboard parts and searches default to List View instead of Detail View. There's no way to make Detail view the default for my organization's users. Even when saving a view, you can't save it as a Detail view rather than a List; this is causing readability issues for users.

    Yes, please make it possible for those of us that prefer the Detail view to set that as our default. Or when we click to use the Detail view it STAYS on that view unless the button is selected to go back to List view. It is ridiculous that once it is selected it doesn't stay on that view. Thanks
