As someone new to BBGM, I am not understanding the reasons for the step why we need to actively retrieve applications and reports before we can consider or review them. Can this now just be automatically brought into the system without having to take the step to retrieve? Seems like an extraneous step in the process. We wonder if this originates from when there wasn't an online (cloud-based) system and our database was on a server in-house. Applications and reports went to a holding area (GAM) and we had to "allow" them to flow into our server. This is no longer the case. Thanks for your consideration!
This functionality is now available with latest updates to the Applicant and Grantee Portal. https://community.blackbaud.com/blogs/108/9692
I agree these steps are a bit much, however - we would still need to flag that there are items queued in 'the waiting room'
The matching logic when you check for existing organisations here isnt particularly brilliant - it doesnt always pick up an org even when they are already in our system - so I would be nervous/concerned about this match automatically (or not) happening. This is also teh area where we define what staff that get assigned too on input, however - we could probably hard code that into the back of each application form.
The whole thing needs a bit of an overhaul.
